The debate was dedicated to, among others, innovations in the capital market and investing in digital assets through traditional financial institutions.
Magdalena Łapsa-Parczewska has pointed out that the capital market needs financial products which will correspond to the emerging client needs, including the needs of young investors. It is assumed that the products should provide the same retail investor protection as standard financial instruments, by providing product utility that investors seek more and more in the digital world, including the possibility of instant settlement, exposure to new asset classes, or online quotations. Technology development in investment funds, including tokenisation, could become a response to that challenge.
The UKNF declares its full support for the development of the investment funds market at the stage of implementing new solutions and creating new investment products based on technology neutrality.
To sum up her statement, Magdalena Łapsa-Parczewska has said that new asset classes do and will continue to stimulate the development of the capital market.
