Accessibility Statement - Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego

Modification date:

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (UKNF) ensures the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities. This Accessibility Statement applies to the content of the KNF website

Date of publication of the website: June 2017

Date of the last major update: September 2020

The website only partially complies with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to certain non-complying elements or exemptions:

1.    there may be situations where, despite the efforts of the website’s editors, certain documents published on the website are inaccessible due to the fact that:

  • they come from a variety of sources, including external sources,
  • they are very lengthy and have been created in several organisational units, which has made it impossible to determine their final content and shape,
  • they have been published based on the rules adopted in another institution,
  • they have a structure that cannot be interfered with — e.g. files made available to web developers or graphs describing e.g. document workflow,
  • they had been published before the Act on digital accessibility entered into force.

2.    some content has been published on the website using graphics that contain text because having the text set as part of the image was necessary for the effective communication of a given topic;

3.    not all text elements in foreign languages are marked with a lang attribute.

The Statement was done on: 23 September 2020.
This Statement was made based on the evaluation conducted by the Widzialni.org Foundation.

Standard keyboard shortcuts can be used on the website.

Feedback and contact details

In case of problems with accessibility of the website, please contact Monika Bogatko, Public Communication Department, e-mail: dks@knf.gov.pl, phone no: +48 (22) 262-48-52.

The same contact details can be used to submit requests for unavailable information and requests to ensure accessibility.

Each person may request accessibility of a digital website or any element thereof. One may also request access to information using an alternative form of access, for example having a digitally inaccessible document read out loud, providing a description of the content of a film without audio description, etc.

The request should contain:
  • details of the person making the request,
  • indication of the website or mobile application, and
  • indication of the preferred form of contact.

If the person is requesting the information to be provided using an alternative form of access, they should also define the manner of presenting the information that is most convenient to them.

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority will process the request immediately, within 7 days of receiving the request. If this time limit cannot be met, the UKNF will promptly notify the person making the request and indicate another time limit, which must not exceed 2 months of receiving the request.

If digital accessibility cannot be ensured, the UKNF will suggest an alternative form of accessing information.

If the UKNF refuses to grant accessibility or an alternative form of accessing information, the person making the request may lodge a complaint about digital inaccessibility of a website or mobile application or any element thereof.

Once all available remedies have been exhausted, a complaint may also be sent to the Commissioner for Human Rights.
