The UKNF receives more and more reports on fraud using documents with the logotype of KNF/UKNF or involving references to the KNF.

Through the ‘UWAGA! CYBEROSZUST’ [WATCH OUT FOR CYBER FRAUD] campaign, we want to show the mechanisms used by fraudsters in the money extortion process, for instance in transactions of cryptocurrency exchange intermediation or in false actions allegedly undertaken by the KNF or the UKNF. 

Fraudsters try to gain credibility by relying on falsified documents or pretending to act on behalf of the UKNF, which is why the main aim of the campaign is to make financial sector clients aware of threats and risks. 

Together with the Police, we describe tactics used by criminals.

Remember!

The KNF or the UKNF:

• never participates or acts as an intermediary in the processing of financial transactions between a client and a financial institution;
• never authorises anyone (firms, persons, etc.) to represent the KNF or the UKNF and never verifies any costs of products or services or any customer satisfaction survey;
• never collects any fees for loans granted by private entities;
• never handles the collection of costs, taxes or fees for certificates and never engages in any other false activities conceived by fraudsters.
