Zbigniew Jacek Wiliński, Director of the FinTech Department at the UKNF, took part in ‘Legal Fin Tech 2025. Legal challenges in the FinTech sector’ conference organised by C.H. Beck publishing company.

Zbigniew Jacek Wiliński was a speaker on the discussion panel entitled ‘Crypto-assets (MiCA and other regulations)’. He emphasised that the MiCA regulation would contribute to enhancing the stability and transparency of the crypto-assets market by ensuring the integrity of the market in the EU. He also referred to a session of the Parliamentary Group on Crypto-assets and Blockchain Technology held in the Sejm last Tuesday. He emphasised that the only way to draft a Polish Act on crypto-assets as an instrument acceptable to all stakeholders is through dialogue. He added that the UKNF had supported legislative work in this area from the outset and it had been strengthening its competences on new technologies and blockchain for years, while also developing tools in this area and a team of specialists. Zbigniew Jacek Wiliński stressed that the UKNF remained an active member of the process, trying to develop the best legislative solutions possible.
