EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy 2.0

Project name: „EU Supervisory Digital Finance Academy – EU SDFA 2.0”

Scope of support: As part of the fifth allocation of the EU Technical Support Instrument (TSI), the UKNF takes part in the European Commission’s flagship project – Supervisory Digital Finance Academy 2.0.

The project is addressed to Member States willing to enhance their supervisory capacity in the area of innovative digital finance and the use technology in supervisory activities and forms a continuation of the EU-SDFA 1.0 project, participated by the UKNF in 2022–2025.

The aim of the project planned as a 3-year cycle of training activities scheduled for 2025–2028 is to:

  • continue to strengthen capacity and develop competences of supervisory authorities in the area of using advanced technologies, including AI-based applications and SupTech solutions;
  • raise the awareness of threats and opportunities related to digital financial services;
  • support and ensure more effective financial supervision to allow a quick response to changing market conditions, while promoting common supervisory culture and understanding the impact of digital technologies on financial markets.

The Academy’s training programme is carried out in cooperation with the European Commission (SG REFORM), European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, ESMA, EIOPA), and the European University Institute – Florence School of Banking and Finance (EUI-FBF). The lecturers at the Academy are members of the academic staff of the EUI-FBF, as well as experts from the European Commission, EBA, ESMA, EIOPA, international organisations, and the private sector.

44 supervisory authorities from 27 EU Member States, including the UKNF, participate in Academy 2.0.
