Jacek Jastrzębski, Chair of the KNF, opened a meeting of the Board of Supervisors and the Management Board of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) held on 17–18 June 2025 in Warsaw. The meeting, hosted by the UKNF, is attended by heads of capital market supervisory authorities from EU Member States and EEC countries, as well as representatives of ESMA and the European Commission.

The ESMA Board of Supervisors meeting in Warsaw is related to Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union held in the first half of 2025. The agenda of the meeting focuses on current ESMA management affairs, work on legislative proposals, and discussion of matters that are of vital importance for the future of the capital market supervision in the EU. 

Topics discussed include, among others, legislative proposals for Level 3 acts in the areas of UCITS and EMIR 3, challenges related to supervisory convergence in the area of the MiCA Regulation, and issues connected with disclosing and reporting information on ESG objectives.
