According to information of December 10, 2024, The Steering Committee of the National Working Group (NWG SC) decided to select the proposed index marked with technical name WIRF– (based on unsecured deposits of Credit Institutions and Financial Institutions) as the ultimate interest rate benchmark to replace the WIBOR benchmark. 

After reviewing the opinions regarding legal, market and marketing aspects, NGR SC decided on January 24, 2025 to choose the target name POLSTR (Polish Short Term Rate) for the proposed index.
