The National Working Group (NWG) for benchmark reform has announced the completion, on 1 July 2024, of feedback collection as part of the public consultation process which was an element of a review and analysis of RFR benchmark/index alternatives to WIBOR1.
The consultation process has involved 28 entities representing banks, mortgage banks, leasing companies, factoring companies, insurance undertakings, investment funds, and associations of financial institutions. The responses will be analysed in the coming weeks by the Steering Committee of the NWG. The results of the public consultation will be one of the elements considered in deciding on the selection of an index/benchmark alternative to WIBOR and in updating the Roadmap for benchmark reform in Poland, which sets forth the actions required for further development of the money market in Poland.
